Dust Caps??

Man, this may just be a stupid question and i may be missing something, bu where the hell can i getdust caps for my fc?? I have 17" mustang wheels and dont want the big *** pony emblem on the center caps. therefore i need some dust caps for the front wheel bearings. looks like i need about a 1 7/8" OD. where did everyone else get theirs, cuz i cant find the right size every where. all the ones i have found are too big or too small. are there dust caps from the factory? there never was on mine.... i just figured the cente caps on my wheels did the job. thanks

Should be a simple matter of hitting a junkyard up and ganking a pair off a boneyard wreck. OR walking into the local autozone and asking the guy behind the counter to see if they have any for your car. OR the easiest option, call up the local mazda dealership and see if they can order ya a pair.

Weird you didn't have dust caps, you definitely need those or the dust will get in the grease and eat your bearings!!! (self explanatory) All cars have them.

Mazdatrix, dust cover: http://mazdatrix.com/h86-92bearings.htm

i know, it is weird. its not as tho this was my first time pulling off the wheels, just my first time paying attention to it. i put on the new wheels and bam, the end of the bearings were staring me in the face. i looked and wondered where the dust caps were, (thinking i had inadvertedly knockd them off somehow when removing the wheels) but they were nowhere to be found......go to the next wheel. SAME thing. weirder still, the bearings were still totally greased, as tho i had just removed the caps..anyways, guess im calling mazda, thanks guys.

PS- autozone was no help, neither was advanced. both told me "oh, w dont have them for a mazda, just for fords, GMs and chryslers..." i respond by asking if i can just see a list of what they have (i know roughly what size i need) and they say, "we dont have a list or anything, just the ones on the "help" isle"....BapGeon(local import auto parts place) wasnt anyhelp either. hell i work at NAPA and thats where i cam the closest by looking threw our catalog and matching one ALMOST the right size (about 1/16" too small).

hahaha. those are ridiculously expensive, i just need an oem/autozone replacement.

on a side note, called mazda the other day, the guy "couldnt find them" in his computer. the only thing he could find was the dust shield for the rotor (back of the rotor). when i get some time im gonna go down there and have them pull up a diagram and point out the part i need. or ill just get them from mazdatrix.
