Driveline strength....

Wondering about the NA drivetrain. If you had say 250hp at flywheel, would you still damage your drivetrain if you did not drive the car hard in anyway, maybe even granny styled it from a stop? Or would it handle it just fine? And say in 3rd gear or higher would it be safe to push the car hard then and not wreck tranny or driveshaft?

Also got some TII questions cause I may be getting one soon. If I moved the IC to a FMIC, had open cone filter intake, and had 2.5 or 3 inch straight pipe from Turbo back with no cats, would I experience boost creep or would that raise the boost at all? And if so would having a Walbro fuel pump make it safe for the boost to go up? Or would it be advised that I get an SAFC as well to maybe richen it up a little bit?

Thanks

No, you wouldn't. Straight-up horsepower (the ability to sustain inertia of an already moving object) won't kill these things -- TORQUE does.

Your driveline will be perfectly fine as long as you're not popping it in all gears and driving the snot out of it all the time.

That's what I thought. Me and a friend were discussing it and I was thinking it would be just fine as long as I'm not popin the clutch at like 6krpm or anything.

Now that that's answered, anyone got any ideas on the turbo stuff? I don't wanna pop this engine right away cause of not enough fuel or anything.

Thanks

That's right, Yak.

On the turbo stuff, it'll still work fine. No need really for an SAFC or anything. The mods you make may make it hit fuel cut and might not.

Yep. Just be careful with it.
