Does your FC FLAME?!?

hey guys i dont know if this is good or bad..i have a 87 TII and i blew my engine 1000 miles back due to the straight through exaust and no fuel managment. since the rebuild i have put in lightweight flywheel, hks intake, and blitz BOV and greddy turbo timer in addition to the custom FMIC and and the full exaust (no cats). i installed the f-con when i got the motor rebuilt and now the exaust flames when i let off after hard acceleration or in between high rpm shifts. i think this is because the the car is running a little on the rich side. is this detonation?. it hasnt seemed to effect the car. the engine runs great and im getting a lot of power but this worries me. do you guys have any clue if this is bad or what this is? thanks.

Thats a healthy rotary Flame away my brotha! It's just extra fuel blowing through teh system at rapid rpm drops from high RPM. Any rex with a nice exhaust will do it. If you don't like the attention it draws....just get a good highflow cat. I really enjoy my flames, especially when some *** is tailgating you and you drop it a gear, pull a little then return to your previous gear and you blow a nice flame in their grill...they ALWAYS back off

I NEED those!!!! Why won't my car do that? I've got the Bonez race pipe (with small resonator) and stock from the Y back. Where are all my flames going? I coulda used those last night to get rid of a tailgater.

open exhaust, i guess intake should help too. runnin rich up top helps. perhaps an ignition.

a guy tailing me one time told me i did about a 2 foot flame out of each pipe! i was in fourth redlining...and went to fifth. i think you gotta really get those rpms up if you want the sweet long flames
