Does this need an O-Ring?
Does this need an O-Ring?
I know this might sound ridiculously no0b-ish, but I've never worked with a fuel system previously to the 7.
With that said, I've had the injectors cleaned and everything replaced. And I was just wondering, when I was reading the FSM it said that the injectors need the O-Rings replaced.
Now the O-Rings at the top of the injectors were replaced when I had them cleaned. My question is, do I have to remove this piece(circled below in white) prior to installing them in or do I leave them in? Do I have to put another O-Ring in the fuel injector ports on the block and LIM?

Again, sorry for the Noob question. *Puts on flame suit*

No one has mentioned it, but you need to lube the gromit and o-ring before injector installation. Use petroleum jelly or grease. Otherwise the upper o-ring can easily tear when inserted into the fuel rail.
Per FSM, I coated both with a little fuel. Would that be sufficient?
