Mine was leaking and I hooked up a line from it all the way back into the gas tank. Now it leaks back into my gas tank and my gas mileage tripled!

eh, it is blown.... but he was talking to me about it (even on the 'vertible.)

I was just trying to get my confusion squared away... that's all

Yeah, we've covered all this before. There was even a sticky at the top of the forum for a while. So unless someone has something new to add, consider this thread done.

something new to add

I had the PD go bad on my 88 T2 and it cost me out the *** from the mechanic who did it. Anyway I was showing my car off to my girlfriends bro and when I was done I was letting the turbo cool and I smelled gas. Guess what, the new PD that was put on also failed. It was maybe a year and a half old. I got it to my new mechanic in time, but I don't even trust those things anymore. My whole engine is relying on a 140$ part?
Make sure to keep checking the PD when your doing your regular maintnence.

just my 2 cents

The first one lasted ~15 years, so you have no reason not to expect a new one to do the same.

Wankel7, that's why I posted a link to my thread so others could post about the Marren PD.

Don't understand your frustration.

OH i have done a lot of research... i dont see why it wouldnt last about the same time... if this one lasted 16 years with owners that probably killed it i dont see why it wouldnt last at least 7 to 8 years. I will check it yes every once a week. I mean I own an rx-7 one of teh most reliable cars ever made isnt that right? so i have to check everything once a week. I mean if it goes bad again ill just do the BONJO BOLT MOD!! just for the decoration that sit and thats all. I just tried to warn people on the forum tahst all.. CLosing this thread is fine by me.
