HELP! problem starting the car, probably electrical?

i was driving around one day, and the throttle cable got stuck at WOT. the car revved up on its own in neutral, and i tried turning the key to turn the car off, but my turbo timer kicked in. by the time i got the turbo timer off, it hit redline, and the car shutoff as it should. when i tried to fire the car back up, it wouldn't start, the cranking sounded a lot weaker, almost like it was flooded.

i pushed it home, and checked the compression on the front and rear with the "ear test" hearing for 3 even puleses when removing the spark plug on each side. i could hear 3 pulses in the front, but little to none in the back. it got me pretty nervous not getting any response from the rear.

the next day, i tried unflooding it with the standard unflood. it still wouldn't start. i checked the compression and to my surprise, both rotors had good compression! i then did the "full unflood" from this write-up: http://www.rx7.com/tech/unflood-fc.html the car now cranks, and it sounds as if it is on the VERGE of starting, but can't seem to get there. i hooked up the battery with jumper cables to make sure the charge was good, and still no luck.

also 1 more thing. the "full unflood" required the insertion of ATF, which i did. since i couldn't get the car started, the atf is still sitting there, so im kinda worried that it'll damage the motor if its in there too long. any input on this?

how come it wont fire up?!?!?!?

btw, i have a safc and a fcd in, if that makes any of a difference.

Ouch! That suxx dude!

OK. If I where you, I'd be worried bout my turbo. I dunno if it would prevent your car from starting, but if you hit redline the turbo must have been spinning REAL fast. I dunno bout the rx7's, but when you turn older turbo cars off, the turbo stops receiving oil. If this is the case in your car, then you may have damaged your turbo's bearing. If its REALLY bad, the turbo might not be spinning at all, thus stopping your car from starting.

**update

-checked all 4 coils, getting spark on each (just shoved a screwdriver there and put it near a ground)
-checked all fuses under the hood, replaced 1 that was the wrong voltage
-checked all drivers side fuses, all a-ok but some of the fuses dont match up in amperage, dont think this is too big of a deal though
-tried to re-unflood the motor, cleaned spark plugs w/ carb cleaner

car still wont start any suggestions?

i can smell quite a bit of fuel, so i dont think thats it. im thinking it might just be REALLY flooded, or someone on the forum suggested it might have to do with the TB being stuck. tow start...

If your throttle body is stuck open then this could definately prevent the car from starting. It would also do what it did before and rev to redline, if you did get it started. Have you checked if it is stuck yet?
