GUYs please i beg you get off your asses and go check your pulsation dampers.. I got 155k on my engine and i just found out i have a huge leak on it.. I have to pull 140 bucks out my *** but is better than my car BEing totalled.. did you know our cars are only worth about 1200 if that on insurance companies? I dont know about you but i have spend alot more than 4k on just the engine and its components.. I have include a picture of what the pulsation looks like below!! PLEASE GO CHECK IT OUT!!!! if you dont feel it pulsating at idle go around with your finger and see if you feel or see any gas leaking.

What is the pulsation damper and what does it do? Also, where's it located and what do I need to check it out? Thanks.

Perv - the Picture you showed me of the pulsation damper or whatever - and looking under both engines of my cars... I saw neither........ lmao

I still don't have a clue what you're refering to. If any other guru or whatever knows.... please elaborate!

Wow, this has been covered like 6000 times. You guys still don't now what he is talking about? Look in the FSM, I am sick of hearing about the PD, yes good idea change the damn thing .. but if you don't have it down by now, you likely never will.

-Robert

Christi, you will not find it under either of your engines, you are correct .. it is on the back end of the fuel rail, the rail that your injectors plug into.

Let me also link to a post of the EXACT same nature on the EXACT same page (1st page) as this post.

christi,

I thought your motor is blown? If so, i would not worry about the PD right now It wont catch fire sitting in the garage. Fix it when you tear the motor down.

Nah man im straight. Mazda put it there for a reason and according to alot of threads teh banjo bolt is like the ATF trick for a fucked coolant seal. ONLY USE IF IS A MUST!!. I have 2 bucks left on my bank account yes, but after this bitch is back in my car. I will take it to it... I will make my engine cry to 6500 rpms ( dont wanna blow the rebuild but i havent taken it past 5000 rpms yet and its already been 2200 miles... ).
