just had a quick question. do the s5 have different side panels from the s4s'? the buldges along the sides seem.. bigger.. haha (i know this sounds retarded). but yea! like they're wider?.. is this true? or am do i just have really bad eye sight?

btw. i love the look of the fc from the sides. they curve of the body is just amazing. almost looks like a car with one of those 'widebody' kits, but not..

Well that is rumour i heard once a long time ago. But it has never been proven nor disproven. I have a S5 and it seems that it does have wider guards than a my friend's s4, but then again just because it looks like it does, doesnt necessarily mean it does.
Next time I'm at my mates house (who has a s4, i'll try and measure the guards and compare). Then again, that would not be a 100% guarantee that this is correct.

yeah, i know what you mean, ive been wondering the same thing. actually, i think they are different, if you look at black dragon auto, theirs 3 options for fenders; S4, S5 NA, S5 TII. so i think there is some difference...of some kind...or another...hell, i dont know....

 

They are the same except for minor mounting differences.

You can bolt a S5 non turbo fender onto a S4 Turbo just fine...

mounting holes in slightly different spots are the only differences

would any1 happen to know of a website or document that might describe this? i guess something in regards to the yearly changes made to the rx-7, but in more detail? like every sight has a brief overview of changes, but i've yet to read of anything talking about restyling of the fenders etc..

OH! and i was curious. would the 89-90 GTUs be grouped in with s5 t2's? or would it just be grouped with normal s5's. in terms of visual aspects (excluding the t2 hood).

Describe what? The styling changes? Read the FAQ here. Re-styling of fenders? There wasn't any, so what's there to talk about? That was already answered for you.

Why would the GTUs be grouped with a TII? Does it have a turbo or doesn't it? If it doesn't then one would assume it wouldn't be grouped with the turbo model. Other than the wheels and the decals it looks exactly like every other non-turbo S5.

You really need to search.
