Diesel Oil
#3
Opinions are like........
Diesel motor oil has a better additive package due to the worse byproducts that diesels produce and the extended drain intervals in diesel engines
Since motor oil should be changed every 2-3k miles, then there is no benefit using a diesel motor oil.
But, since diesels operate at higher oil pressures, diesel motor oil has better anti-foaming additives. This might benefit the higher rpm rotary engine if oil control is a problem.

Would you have to make changes with regard to EMS, exhaust setup and fuel injectors if you chose to run diesel?
Sounds like a fun project (for somebody else to try. )
If you check out Rotary Power International's website, they've burned all sorts of goo in their power-generating rotary motors, including diesel and biomass.

I had a look at those links and I didn't see where RETed said that he was using that particular brand... Where does he say that?

Oh Yeah, a rotroy instead of a turbine engine, I could see the advatage now. The enemy would think a giant swarm of killer bee's is coming to eat them all alive. Instead of an M1 abrams coming to shoot them all. Wow, how did I not see the advantage no confrontation. He He He Ha Ha
