Did I forget anything

Im putting an automatic engine into a 5 speed. I removed flexplate couterwieght and then just slid my flywheel right on and tightened the 54mm nut. Yes the flywheel is from the same year. Thats it right. I also notyiced that there is no needle bearings in the center of the eccentric shaft like there is on the 5 speed motor. Is that bad?

yes you will need to install the pilot bearing, you will need to jump out the neutral safety switch on the wiring harness or it wont start, I do not know if the front counterweight is the same I think it is different,

Why will he need to by-pass his neutral saftey switch? is it broken or something?

The weight of the counter-wieghts are the same within series for auto and 5spd. He's fine. As long as it S4 flywheel on S4 internals or S5 flwheel on S5 internals you're good.

So no ECU? then switch wont be a problem. Buy a new pilot bearing and put it in the automatic engine.

Classic: if you drop a manual into an auto and dont change the wiring harness then you need to jump out the wiring harness or your starter doesnt get power. My first major project on my second 7 was a manual swap I spent a week trying to figure out why the starter wouldnt turn. I was only 19 at the time and hadnt even found the forum. Wait I dont think it existed then.

Also just realised he is swapping auto engine in not manual trans into auto

buy a new one it is nearly impossible to get a 15 year old pilot bearing out without a pilot bearing puller and in one piece

Lucccc ky you didn't Spill alot of Southern CCCCC omfort on that Keyboard!..CCC ann't tell what would Happen!..Yes .pilot bearing remover tool(you can most likely Rent one)they are "fun' to get out.Pilot bearing basically prevents the Input shaft from sloppin around.Without it,there will be alot of movement in there that will most likely wear everything around that area Right out.Quick.
