daten changes oil cooler on live webcam

Yeah.. so this is probably going to be crappy but I'm going to swap my damaged oil cooler tonight. And I'll have a webcam under the car with me.

The image is at http://ghostlords.com/image.pl?src=cam2

You can refresh that manually if you're bored enough to watch. Or go to ghostlords.com for a 1 minute refresh.

I'll be on IRC if you want to tell me I'm doing something wrong (good luck, low res cam).

Live Image: (after 9-24-05 this could be anything)

Another update:

It looks like someone used a rubbery adhesive to attach this oil cooler..
The one I pulled from Crazy Ray's was screwed directly to an L bracket and that was screwed to the mount thing..

This cooler is screwed to broken halves of an old bracket which is glued to a new bracket without holes on the side.

Also, my old oil lines are rusted with probably 15 years of time. I need better tools.

the oil lines are a real bitch to get off sometimes, i suggest using some vice grips to hold the IC threaded section stationary while trying to break it loose.

I'm giving up for tonight. I need the hardware store to open so I can buy more tools. The cams will be black for a while until I turn the lights back on or the sun comes up.

Ok, back at it. =)

By the way, there should be a timelapse of this whole thing at http://ghostlords.com/timelapse.pl if you miss the fun.
[edit: nevermind, I just checked the timelapse, it's not that great.. the shots aren't archived often enough, blame my roommate, it's his website]

I got the old cooler off this morning, including the bent line. I just need to drill some holes in the old bracket or make a new one before I can mount the new cooler.

Would there be interest in a "Video FC repair DVD"? Basically, a disk of common car tasks with narration & video.
