dash board

my 88 rx7 has a really bad sunburned dash board and i cant find any sites that sell dash boards because i can only find dash covers and when i do find dash kits they are not for 2nd gen please help.

get an air brusher and some vynil paint .. and go nuts my friend ... if u get the proper paint it will do wonder for ur interior

there are a number of interior paints available from places like autosource....however if you aren't trying to match a particular colour, just freshening up a black, or a red....I would recommend kyrlon platsic paint, it has excellent adhesion as well as flexes with the dash pad material afterwards, in some of the replacements Ive done at the shop and used kyrlon for the dash, or other semi ridgid plastics Ive had good luck

a good source for dashboards is the wrecking yard....... i see perfect dashboards all the time at wrecking yards......

there is a buch of junk yards around my house but they ask too much for all of their stuff. but if i get a black paint will it mach my blak carpet

blacks black, now if the paint is new and the carpet is faded from being 15+ years old then no it wont match. what color is you dash now?

keep in mind that the dash in not plastic, it a rubbery/foam material, so make sure the paint will adhere to it...you dont want to mess up your dash more than it already is! and make sure you use a good cleaning sloution before spraying the dash.... im not sure what acetone would do to that material, but that will clean just about anything.......

if i were you, id do a little section that isnt really noticalble ..and see what the cleaner and paint do! better safe than sorry!

my dash is blue and i have all the stuuf to clean it and i am going to change my blue carpet to black carpet
