Does this sit under the carpet or do you cut a hole out?
The carpet is pretty stiff over there, so I dunno how much it'll look sitting under the carpet?

I'd just get a one-piece race seat and a 5-point harness for the passenger if they have a problem staying in their seat.

for those of you who don't understand the point of the foot bar:

The passenger hooks their toes underneath it to keep their legs in place durring hard cornering.

yeah, any one of my passengers would probably like having something else to brace since my pass. seat is missing a bolt. I was 'actin a fool' with this one chick in the car and she thought she was gonna go out the pass. window on this one 90 curve...

Added weight. **** passengers.

A good way to get more restraint from stock seatbelts? A "child seat" seat belt locker.

Really, it makes a huge difference. Crank that puppy down and you're one with the car.

who makes the one you showed a pic of? And where can you buy them? Thats a good idea! I always lock myself down when racing and that would work much better!

I find the "O ****" handles on the door work just fine for the passengers while the push up against the floor with their feet.

Have you watched the child-seat video? What a crock of ****. The seatbelt isn't even ON the kid in the first test. I mean, I'm sure it works... but... atleast test it right.

Those look decent, but the ones I posted has a lever and a racthet, so you can crank it down.

I think it's mity-tite brand. You can get them at babies-r-us.

I can't claim responsibility for the idea. My friend Robin lent me his at an auto-x. I'm sure it's been used by amateurs for a while.
