I have been thinking about that lately... But I cannot see a logical place to put one... unless I only let 1 legged passengars in my car...

You also need a rotor housing to show people...is that where I can keep my nachos? Then I can keep the salsa in the center console and the nacho cheese in the ashtray. Works perfect...

Thumbs up

Go to Wal-Mart and look for this cupholder. IIRC, it's called the Wedge. Fit's snug between the trans tunnel and the passenger seat thigh bolster. Doesn't really get in the way of the passenger unless they're really big. I've had mine for a couple years now. Works perfectly.

black dragon automotive sells cupholders that screw into the door, or anywhere else. I suggust screwing it into the carpet for no one will notice when you take it off.

The wedge is okay... I have one but the problem is that the wedge fits in between the passenger's seat and the centerconsole which puts it right on that wierd big tranny bulge. Sometimes it won't dig in well enough and when you break it gets more and more loose till everything spills. Even worse is that if you put it close to the centerconsole it interferes with the passenger getting his seatbelt, so it'll probably get pushed foreward and that gives it even less support.

maybe you could simply super glue some sort of ring to put around the factory "cup holders" so cups dont fall over when ur driven lol

The factory cupholders work fine if you don't drive terribly. I'm saying this and I like feeling acceleration around turns.

Here's how you get better at not tipping cups: Get an accelerometer. Put a sealed drink (so it won't spill when it falls over) in the cupholder. Put a bunch of crap on the dash. Turn until the drink falls over. Pick up something that fell of the dash just before the drink fell over. Drive with just that on the dash until it doesn't fall off anymore. You won't spill drinks anymore.

I got really nervous whenever my girl would put her coffee in that stupid cupholder, but it never tipped, so I got used to it.

(Note: I did this before ever seeing anything Initial D related and it is very close to how he learned control.)

The thing is, if you like "feeling accelleration around turns" the g's will knock it over. If you are driving even slightly hard, that is how it goes, whether you are a good driver or not. Everytime.

EDIT: OK, if you ahve a wide cup like a coffee mug, I gues it would be OK. But with anything like a fountain drink, there's no chance.

I still have my stock stereo.. (probably why my cars never been broken into or stolen, stupid kids) anyway.. Check out an older Ford Taurus.. They have a cup holder that is the exact same width, size, ect, as a basic CD player. With the stock stereo removed, theres enough room for a cd player, and this cup holder. They fold in and are out of the way when not being used, but with a press of a button two cup holder pop out. Might be a little difficult to shift though.. like I said, i havent tried it.

I find it ironic and amuzing that you like how the cupholder doesn't get in the way of the passanger, yet you say nothing about the big, obtrusive sidebars on your rollbar

No, even pushing it moderately around turns (nothing close to slipping here, but more than most people do) her coffee wouldn't fall. I'm not talking a mug, I'm talking normal drive-through coffees.

I think the cup holder from a 626 works, too. Really anything with a single DIN cup holder works.

you dont want a rotor just laying around, in case of an accident, it could fly and crush your head , besides its heavy and takes a lot of space just for a cupholder.
