Stupid question... how does the white electrical plug going to the Crank Angle Sensor unplug? I mean, is there a button to push, or does it simply pull right off. I'm trying to unplug it to perform a compression test, and I can't get the darned thing off... I don't want to break it or anything (or break any wires off pulling it).
Please help!!

 

Theres a clip you push or pull.. cant remember which.

 

Thanks! Got it off and did the test. 91/93 psi even bounces on each rotor with the check valve removed. I guess that's good for a 170k engine?

 

Wow, 170k engine? Those numbers aren't bad at all. I believe when you get into the 70s it's time for a rebuild.

Yup! Original build, 1988 GXL. It's had 2 previous owners, both were very meticulous with the maintenance. I've had it almost 3 years now, and it hasn't let me down yet. I'm hoping it lasts till 300k!
