Corksport
Has anyone on here ever ordered an engine from Corksport??? I need some help, my dad now doesn't want to order my engine because he thinks I'm going to get a bad engine and be screwed on the deal. Does anyone have any experience with Corksport?

I would say save your money and get a rebuilt one. If you don't make sure you have some one compression test it before you even start to install it. I got a JSPEC that was bad and now I'm cheated out of alot of money. There is a place in Canada that does rebuilds for $1200 and warranties for 12 months I think, I'll see if I can find you the link.

Hello
I've known Derrick at CorkSport for a long time and have bought an engine from him my self. It was not a mazda engine but I had no problems at all. The engine was a WRX engine for my Subaru which I have know sold to another person that loves the car and the engine still to this day pulls hard and runs great.

Rx_tasy and i buy all of our motors from Nippon b/c they are normally good. we have bought 4 motors from them and only the last one was bad. (smoked) so i called them and they are having it picked up today to warranty it to send me another. Does Corksport have a warranty on their motors? Nippon is a 30 day. No labor. just enuff to get it installed and make sure its fine. yeah but if you can afford it get a rebuild, just more reliable i think.

Corksport doesn't have any warranties or anything, which is what is kind of scary, what the hell do you do if you get a motor that is Blown?? Anyway, I guess I'm just gonna order the rebuild kit from Atkins and do it myself...

Erik- Ever since I bought the car the timing was way off, so that I had **** loads of bottom end power and once I hit like 4 grand in 5th gear, all my power just dropped. Eventually it started pinging when I would get onto the highway, and she blew...sad sad sad...
I didn't know the timing was so advanced until like 3 days before it blew...
