Corbeau seats?

Hey guys, wondering if anyone has any experience with corbeau seats, specifically the gts II seats or A4 seats using the corbeau custom brackets/sliders...want to put new seats in the vert build. i know theres lots of threads with seat talk but havent been able to find anything specific other than people saying they fit in the car.. i really want to know how different if at all the height of the seat is when installed compared to factory...was originally going to find a nice set of turboii seats and re wrap em but its proven to be more expensive than just vuying a set of corbeau seats..i had some bride low max gias ii seats in there for awhile and had to get rid of them because the passenger seat sat so high my 5'7" wife had her head against the roof when riding with me...was really stupid looking and she hated it. had to have the back rest reclined as far as possible and you still felt like you were looking into the sun visor..any comments on experience would be greatly appreciated

I have the FX1 (non-reclinable race seat) in my FC coupe race car, and I love it. We bought the slider for it and it seemed good quality and a good fit (though I didn't use it in the race application). My FX1 was the wide version (I call it "big booty sized") so I had to "persuade" the transmission tunnel with a large hammer. However, the normal sized seats likely fit fine. I did a low-mount custom fixed bracket for the race car, so I'm not sure what the height would be when it's on the slider. I have a vert at home, so if I got ambitious, I could test it.

Very comfy, A+ quality all around.

For my vert, I bought re-upholstery kit for the factory vert seats and reconditioned them myself.

thanks for the info!...yeah I have a set of vert seats but i just can't stand the speaker headrests considering they aren't even used anymore.....really the passenger side is the only one i worry about seeing as how far from level the passenger floors are in the fc.. i suppose if anything the corbeau bracket is a good start and could be modified to sit lower if need be. Anyone else?

I did not like how my older Forza XL or Wide model fit (or did not fit) in my S5 coupe. Plus with the slider mounts, I was actually sitting up higher with less room for my helmet than with the factory seat. Since this is my street car and not a dedicated track toy, I don't swap seats for track days.

I'm also using the Corbeau FX1 Pros. At first I bought their bottom mount/slider option but it left the seat too high and almost at a 90° angle. I ended up replacing the corbeau brackets with the Street Faction side mount brackets. I think the Corbeaus are great bang for the buck.
