cooling line

on my 87 NA The cooling line next to the thermo valve on the throttle body is leaking right where it joins the bracket. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how to fix it. or do I just have to replace the whole thing???

It looks to be fairly rusty. the first time i took off the upper intake and replaced it, it started leaking slowly and then i did it again cause I couldn't figure out where it was leaking from. Now it is pouring out just after where I can clamp the hose on.

Thanks 4 your help

Sounds like you need to install a new nipple

I may be wrong, but I believe the nipple is a seperate piece. Worst case is that you can get a whole thermo valve assembly from the wreckers. Very common and cheap.

Is it this thing that is leaking? If it is, I removed mine when I did the throttle body mod and removed all my emissions control stuff. If you want this one, I can ship it to you. It didn't leak when it was in the car.

Good picture. It appears that I was quite wrong. The nipple is not seperate.

That's the one. but if you removed it does your car work ok without it?? I was thinking of just bypassing it. But i will be happy to take it off your hands.

the nipples are pressed in. You could twist and remove them. hard to do, and then JB weld them back if you're that brave. I would just dump that system altogether.
