Coolant leaking on back of engine

It is not the coolant hose to turbo, nor the heater hoses. It is dripping down where the transmission meets the block and can not lead it to anywhere.

any suggestions?

my suggestion would be the little 90 degree hose from the top of the engine to the bottom of the throttle body.

I am afraid it may be a freeze plug because it has been consistently dripping for about 6 months, has not started leaking any faster.

What 90 degree elbow are you talking about? only one I have on top of the engine goes to the turbo

I think he's referring to the hose that connects the thermowax on the TB to the top of the engine housing under the UIM. Difficult to see the engine connection without removing the UIM.

^ yea I do not have that hose because its been removed. I am a little worried it may be a freeze plug and will have to pull my tranny to get to the thang.

It could still be leaking from the nipple, right?

Take the little rubber plug out on the bell housing,at the bottom of the transmission.,IF the coolant is coming out THERE,then you have a Frost plug gone bad.
You could also take the starter of and check the bottom of the Tranny in the Starter's hole.by placing a rtag in there,or Reaching in,IF you got Long fingers..ANY coolant in that area is BAD.
You really have to Distinguish Where the coolant is coming from.Rotary Engines Depend on the cooling system. If that is bad,it should get Fixed or the whole engine may go Kaput!!

Well I never found the leak and today before arriving at my girlfriends I gunned it a little bit and then coolant buzzer came on and coolant dumped everywhere. With 3 car guys looking none of us could find a source of fluid except seeing it leaking between the block and transmission yet coolant was in random places all over the car. The coolant leaks out just as fast as you can put it in. Weird and I feel really stuck, I guess I need to pull the transmission but I really do not want to.

Had same problem, one of the housings bolts backed out a little bit and allowed coolant to push out, and it leaked between the trans and block.

I pulled the trans found the backed out bolt put rtv on it, TQ the bolt back down and all is golden again.

I wonder why it was leaking slowly and then out of no where it starts leaking like a hose on full blast.
