M16.
Glowshift.com has an adapter for a gauge..
that is according to Pink Racer.
she says the other part was a bad fit as the threads had a taper.

I thought Racer and I were talking about the blind plug in the front iron being 16mm, not the block drain in the engine mount.

read this:https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...ensor-1105651/
This is the adapter:1/8 NPT female to M16 P-1.5 male Thread Adapter
Now the good thing about this adapter since it FITS is that you can use it as a PLUG if you get a 1/8 plug to screw into it.

Stay with me......
This way you can take the 1/8th out of the adapter and slap an aftermarket gauge in there.
You can also keep your stock gauge intact.

i dont think we're talking about the same plug, the one im looking for is where the motor mount connects to the center iron housing, not next to the spark plugs but underneath, its a long bolt like 2in long

I'm thinking now that he was talking about that "centering pin" sort of dealio.(hexagonal jobbie that goes through the driver's side mount).

..puff....Undoes "coolant plug" on Bong...there..all's forgiven.

Plug your bong back in (?), that hex jobbie IS the factory block drain, not a locating dowel.

Indeed.
To add to our knowledge base I can confirm that this drain is a 10m x 1.25...pretty standard stuff.

It was not a taper but instead the actual hex bit that you put the wrench on was way too big for no reason. The Glowshift one was a smaller size and less bulky and fits like a glove on the test iron I dug out of the attic. LOL
