Convertible top having issues won’t open

Hey guys I’m having a issue with my roof not opening . I’ve just noticed all of the dummy lights and clock no longer are working as well I’m thinking this has something to do with the top not working because the e brake light is not on? (Just makes a beeping sound when i attempt to open) Any help on this would be appreciated thx.

the warning lights and clock was always a problem for them not working, the solder joints on the pcb probably needs to be reflowed.
The vert top however should be getting power from the number 15 fuse, 2nd row from the bottom and all the way to the right. You can can bypass the switch itself by using the check connector in the engine bay. Its right next to the map sensor on the shock tower. Its a 6pin connector but one of the middle connector is not pinned so theres only 5 wires coming out of it.
Black is ground (check with multimeter for continuity), Red is the handbrake switch signal, Red-white should be the opening, Green-white is the closing, Black-yellow is the 12v coming from fuse 15, check this first. Turn key on (dont need engine on), Take a wire and strip both ends, and jump the Black yellow wire to Red-white and see if it opens. and if it opens, you have a bad switch. If it doesnt open, the motor is probably toasted.

You said the parking brake light doesnt come on, so you need to check the parking brake switch. Its a grounded switch, you need to check the continuity of the switch. You can bypass the parking brake switch by grounding out the RED wire in the check connector. BUT, its not a permanant fix, the wiring for the switch also grounds out the key notification, and the brake fluid sensor
