1990 convertible top wont close

My 1990 convertible`s top wont close.It makes the beep beep sound but it wont move...can any one tell me whats wrong???

make sure it is out of gear(or in park) and the handbreak is on. Simple stuff but make sure

pull it up with ur hands, if ur desperate, and that doesnt work, screw the top motor arms and THEN pull it up with ur hands, this WILL work

Is it making the fast beep or normal beep when trying to close the top???

Fast beep indicates that the parking brake is not on.

You have already checked the fuses ??? how about the connections at the check connector for the top... are they getting voltage when the switch is activated?

its the normal beep,and yeah it seems like every thing have power,because when i push the button the engines go "click".
