confused need help!
I ditched my prelude and i'm new to rotary engines i just picked up an 86 FC N/A with a manual tranny. the car has 160,000 miles on it and would like to boost it should i get just the turbo II engine and will it bolt on to my own tranny? or does it need its own? are these swaps as simple to do?what do i need just to swap the engine??

Be sure to read the FAQ; it'll always be the third post from the top in the 2nd gen section. Also, the 2nd gen archive has a TON of useful information. I'd look at both of those, first. If you don't check the FAQ or search on questions like this that you can reasonably assume have already been asked many, many times, you will get flamed.

Well, I maybe a newb but I still love my N/A FC over my bro's turbo FD. Maybe just the fact it's my car or maybe the N/A is good motor on its own.
If you're new, stick with your N/A for a while and learn!

Welcome
yes and yes but if you start modifying the engine your tranny and rear diff might not be able to take the power and turn to mush
simple as long as you stay within the same series. You need MANY MANY parts if you want to do it right.

not really, rotor compression differs between series among other things. You should do a search.
Series 4= 87-88 turbo
Series 5= 89-91 turbo
If you have a series 4 then you SHOULD stay with S4 turbo for swap simplicity.
all this info can be found using the search feature.
