Okay, I'm pretty sure my LSD is going out. Last night I was doing some doughnuts, went around to the left, and the thing spun like a top. Then I went to do them to the right, and the thing spun the inside wheel and understeered. I figure, the one side is just starting to slip, that's why one way works better, right?

your LSD is worn, S4's had clutch type LSD's that were stronger and more effective than the S5's shitty viscous LSD's, you can rebuild your diff or even better, buy an aftermarket one if you car has more power that could use a better diff, -alex

clutch type by definition is a better design, the viscous fluid that heats up and causes the locking effect has a number of flaws, it's inconsitent, and over time loses it's "thickness" so it stops locking up.
I have a 86 GXL so I suppose my clutch type is going out on me. I have the ability to rebuild it, but a Quafe(sp) would be more desirable, anyone know any good links for a rebuild kit?
