with a poopy vatozone piston compression tester:
70-75psi even pulses up front with check valve held open 95 overall closed
70-75psi even pulses rear with valve open, 90 overall closed

starts up easy after warming up, takes forever COLD

throttle held wide open BTW

That's better compression than mine is making and I've been dd'ing it for a few months. I am also, however, in the process of rebuilding a motor. 90 and 95 aren't bad.

See...why did you bother to compression test your motor? All it does is make you angry, depressed and all that jazz. Why not be blissfully ignorant? If it starts fine, runs fine, DON'T BOTHER! You'd be better to check inside the motor through the exhaust ports, examine the seals and the lower part of the housings.

Heh, reminds me of when they did my compression, I had 60. They said I will need a rebuild ASAP. I know I am needing one soon, but they told me this almost a year ago :p

ugh, yeah, sitting is actually as common a killer of rotaries as improper modding.

You've got 120+ on both to beat.

20k on a rebuild, though...

174k stock engine. 100-105 bounces on the front with a closed 115 and 90 bounces with 105 closed on the rear. I thought those were low and I was depressed after I did it. I feel a little better now.
