Cold..

Why dont wankels start easily in the cold. I don't know if anyone else has experienced it. But the car will not start when it is cold outside. Me and my friend can get a t2 for 200-300 bucks if we can get the bitch started.. so i wanna know if there are some ways to get it started i really want it.

New plugs, change oil and add small amoutn of ATF... it should run, if not blown...

if the engine has been touched, check for off vaccum lines...

My NA fires up on the 1st try, every time, year round. And I'm further north than you are.

It might be flooded. Search for different methods.

check for spark for starters and then put your thumb over one plug hole and crank you will know if you have compression and then listen for the fuel pump. if you have all the above try unplugging the fuel pump and starting it with the fuel in the motor because it is probably flooded. let me know if you get it started

I live in florida and my RX7 hates to start when its only like 40 degrees out.....Itll crank up and rev to like 3000 rpm then die.....i just work with it and lightly tap the gas till i can get it to respond to the pedal......then i hold it at 3 to 4k rpm for 15 seconds and its fine the rest of the day....

Wow 3000-4000 rpm on a cold start thats insane. How much metal from the interior of yer engine do you end up pouring out when you change the oil? thats a big nono

um, at cold startup the cars rev to 3k to warm up the catalytic converters unless you have changed that.
