clutch prob??possible trans problem?

The stock daiken clutch in my 86 NA was wearing low after 20 years and 84k miles and was making normal noises n acting gay as a worn clutch does lol so I bought an exedy stage 2 cerametallic clutch kit a bit ago and finally got around to installing it at my garage today. I installed throwout bearing, pilot bearing, the clutch and peasure plate as well as i had the flywheel resurfaced and i installed a new main seal for kicks ( pissing oil out ). After i got it all in and the lift down n started it up. IT sounded fine w/ the clutch in but even in neutral w/ the clutch out it was a bit strange sounding and diff sounding ( prior to the clutch replacement it had acted a lil strange but nothing problematic, normal worn clutch noises mostly). But as soon as i place in it gear (any gear we tried 1-3 and Reverse) itll go into gear like normal w/ a slight wirr clunk noise and the car will drive but it makes a horrible screeching howling metal on metal nasty sound as you letting off the clutch and even just driving it. Thinking we didnt sumtin wrong or possible put the clutch in backwards we put her back up and took it appart again. The clutch was in fine we checked all the bearings and everything not sure what happened ( by now i called up 2 rotary gurus i know to come check it out). We talked n figured it might just be the new agressiver clutch n flywheel acting up cause wed only trying movinf it a few feet. Dropped it and tried again this time i drove the car in gear about 50 yards, same exact horrible noise, up again lol. we nit picked everything we could think of before we gave up for the day. The only things we came down to either the trans was weak b4 and the clutch was worn enough it hadnt put much stress on the trans but this clutch n flywheel was stronger enough that the trans couldnt deal with it and was starting to die or possible it wasnt the correct clutch ( i checked online n everything said it was) so we left that as a possibliy one guy suggested maybe it was the turbo clutch instead but that wouldnt fit in right, would it? and i dont think it would do what this is doing but perhaps im wrong. The sound was simliar to that of the car not being completly in gear but the throwout bearin looked fine. Anyone have any expirence with this or any clue what it might be? thx
Jon
