Well, mine isn't dead and my starter was checked at a local shop- she just won't start! I still think it's the starter selenoid(sp?) and it's driving me pure crazy trying to locate the problem. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears. But please, don't expect me to understand all the fine details as well as guys do :-) I know a few things and can follow directions

I did not mean to have the smiley there. Honest mistake.
well, you could still have a weak battery that has enough power to make the solenoid click but not enough to energize the starter motor.
If battery is good, the contacts inside the solenoid are probably corroded and power does not go to the starter motor (solenoid switch).
You may also have a bad connection between the solenoid and the starter motor.
hmm, you say it works when out of the car, then I don't know what to say assuming it was tested correctly.
Some pple like to give a whack with a hammer to a stubborn starter. It actually often works but you'll have to carry a hammer with you everywhere

Yeah, alternator, battery, dirty terminals were eliminated right away. Sooo, rather than deal with starter repair kits, I'll order a new starter in hopes that will end the problem Thanks!!

The Starter Cut Relay is located on the divers side fender. Right behind the Trailig Coil.
From my experience replacing or cleaning the relay might help a little but doesn't cure the problem.
