Choke.

Hey all, my choke on my 90 RX7 doesnt work at all. So which of I'm sure many of you had problems with it doesnt engage when car is cold so idle isnt steady when the vehicle is cold. This causes vehicle to stall out on me. Any tips or tricks on how to do a check to make sure this is my problem or how to rig something up at home? Please let me know it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

first unless you have cvonverted to a carb system like a holley, there is no "choke" (in the conventional sense) on your car.

It will have a fast idle, with fuel enrichment maps setup in your computer that works in conjunction with the air control valve, and air bypass valve to keep the idle steady regardless of conditions, useually either the ACV, or airbypass is gummed up and not working properly, or your TPS is out of adjustment somehow. I suggest you take a look in the archives and do a search for idle problems, specifically in regards to how the sensors interact with each other to work.
