I was thinking of geting a 7, but any other ideas on a cha that is cheap fast, and easy to build for a dummy like me? I would probably get a beater and drop in a new engine and trannie to start just for reliability sake. I am open to any suggestions...

 

depends on how much you know about cars. if you want a FAST rx-7 then youd want the turbo, and that car is kinda finiky for a beginer IMO. some other good cars are MK3 supra turbos, nissan 240sx, MR-2 turbo, Miata, etc. there are plenty of cars out there that can be made fast. if you want to go really cheap and all you want is a drag car, get a mustang. there is no car that can be made fast for so little money

 

Alright, an rx7 turbo 2 is fast and cheap, but no rx7, i would say a chrysler conquest, or a eagle talon tsi. Those are the only two that come to mind right now. And either one you can find fairly cheaply.

 

DSM BAD! DSM BAD! (about the eagle tsi)... or maybe it's just everyone i talk to.. (i own a 92 eclipse that hasn't ran since november, and noone can tell me why!)

 

heh, yeah id stay away from the talon/eclipse cars. they run less often than our cars lol. the conquest/starion thing is a good idea though, theyre cool cars if you can find one.

 

i'm throughly conviced that my eclipse was red because it was cast from the blood of it's pure evil creators... sorry, i had to say that.. . if you can get ahold of a conquest, consider yourself very lucky...

 

rotfl thats too funny. there are a few DSM guys here in my town and its funny as **** cuz they all have **** that should make their cars really fast, but they never ever run right. they come all talkin **** about how fast their cars are and with all the **** on them they should be, but they always lose. then after they lose they make excuses about it. just funny to me i guess

 

ID go with a 240sx, or an mr2 or celica, those are all nice choices, fairly sporty and semi-quick and modd-able as well.
