Talking What is a 87-88 T2 worth with blow motor? I might have one for sale!

In my driving all over the country side...i found a 87-88 T2 that has about 100k with a popped motor. The car black and straight. About 75% left on tires. Inside is in normal condition for 100k miles. Looks pretty much stock otherwise. Looks like its been sitting for about 6 months. To be honest, i could'nt get more than 15ft from it as the car is behind a fence.

The owner does'nt come back until next week, so i can't offer them anything for it as of yet.

So my question is....how much would you pay for it, if i where to sell it as is? Either that, i was thinking about having Pineapple Racing build me an engine, and then selling it.

Give me some ball park numbers guys!

CJ

$1500 for an s4 is low
$1500-2000 sounds about right
I dunno
someone told me that they'd pay $4k USD for mine in a heartbeat with a blown motor, but its the AE and mint, with half those miles

I just picked up an 88 GXL plus a 91 motor and tranny, Apexi exhaust, all new suspension and an additional set of wheels along with some extra stuff like seats etc for $800. The car runs, drives and handles beautifully but needs dents and dings fixed and a fresh coat of paint

So you guys think i should offer him $500 for it?

In2deep...i picked up my n/a 90 from a lady who thought the engine was dead for $600. All it needed was a injector. She purchased the car new, kept every single record of the car, (Even fuel!) Never been wrecked, or smoked in. CJ

You'd pay $1500 for a dead S4 T2? Heh.. I'm sure I could find some around to sell to you at a large profit.
