Changing clutch, bolt sizes?

I'm changing the clutch in my 87 N/A this weekend. I don't have any place to get under her and check all the bolt head sizing before hand, and want to make sure I won't be making regular trips to the hardware store to augment my tool box. I have sockets for everything from 8mm-23mm. My combo wrenches stop at 12mm. Aside from alignment tool, jacks, jack-stands, and tranny jack, am I missing anything?

Well, the tranny bolts are 14's, the bolts holding the pressure plate on are 14s as well, so there shouldn't be much trouble, pretty much everything is 10, 12 and 14, I've never had to use anything bigger than a 19 except for the flywheel nut.

Thanks. I had to use the larger stuff when changing the trans-axle in a wrong wheel drive car. The FWD cars are a bitch, can you say front end rebuild. From the FSM and Haynes manual, this looks like half a day, max, right.

Cool. By Saturday afternoon I should be able to use WOT for the first time. Test drove it in the snow, so didn't notice the clutch was gone 'til nearly a weak had passed.

Thanks for the help guys.

Anytime. Just be sure to follow the FSM or Haynes manual and you should be good to go, have fun

If you do not remove the flywheel for resurfaceing which you do not mention tools for you should sand it to restore the surface if it is not to burnt. If burnt rent or borrow tools to remove the flywheel.

Yes, Yes, I'll break in the clutch first. Thanks for the concern though. As far as the flywheel is concerned, I'll have to do my best with sanding this weekend. I've another car I can get to run easily, but I've only got the garage this weekend. If neccessary I'll drive the rex home and park it 'til my folks' garage is available.
