Changed clutch master now won’t bleed

I changed my clutch master cylinder on my 86 s4 and now my slave cylinder won’t bleed any air out. It’s a used part but it came off working when it was pulled. I did have to switch over the push rod that connects to the pedal itself but screwed that in and out and nothing changed. I can’t think of why it’s not bleed. I mean this isn’t the first master i’ve done before and i’ve never had to do anything special with any of the others i’ve done. I’m just not sure what’s going on and could use some help.

When pumping the clutch you can see something slightly moving at the very bottom so i’ll something is happening just isn’t able to bleed.

Remove the bleeder and see if clogged, or if any fluid is present. You can hit the pedal w/o the bleeder installed to see if fluid flows.

I pulled the master out of the car and pumped the piston with fluid in it and nothing no fluid movement but i could feel slight pressure when i put my finger over where the line would go into but no fluid was being pushed through

You have to bleed the air out of the master before you put the line in, run a tube from the output back into the reservoir and pump it until there are no bubbles. Then you should be able to bleed the air out of the lines and slave.

Got it to bleed at work since i didn’t have it but i did it with the fitting where the line goes in and then a hose into the reservoir.

Now I have a second problem of course. Fluid is coming up from around where the line goes into the master and it’s seeming out of the underside of the “nut” that it threads into. Is this an internal seal that has gone bad or something?

It looks like there is a copper washer under the "nut", that would be what is supposed to seal that. Make sure that it isn't loose.

Switched the master over from my other fc and it’s still leaking in the exact same spot with a master that wasn’t leaking at all while in the other fc. it’s gotta be line related then at this point right

I would assume so, they couldn't both just start leaking in the same spot.
Make sure the flares on the line and in the master are clean. The flare on the line may be damaged.
