Clutch slave cylinder prob.?

Driving today and my clutch pedal got stuck half way down. I had to stick my foot underneath it to pop it back up. All the way to the floor it disengages fine. From the half way point back up it felt loose. Half way point down fine. Fluid was fine. Then it resumed to work normally. Wondering if it is a pedal malfunction or slave cylinder prob. I visually inspected and felt the pedal while it was loose. The spring mechanism looked fine and nothing was hindering its movement(eg. floor mat). Dont want to drive it until I find the cause. Any suggestions? Thanks. G

I've had a similar problem, and its actually beginning to happen again, but i found that it was the master cylinder, which was letting some of the brake flood escape back into the resevoir when depressed making it stick down.
