CD Player wire question
In the process of pulling my dash, carpet, etc and reinstalling everything in the interior, something happened to my cd player and it is no longer working.
First some background. My stereo (stock) system was hacked to **** from the last owner who had a big custom stereo install and then tore it all out and tried, key word tried, to get it all back to stock. Long story short when I went to install my cd/mp3 player nothing worked. I followed all of the wiring diagrams and read all the threads on this forum about it and I could not get it to work. So I ended up taking it to car toys and they had to fix a lot of things and got it all working fine.
Now the problem. Only thing I could notice that was wrong was the red with black striped wire was no longer connected to anything. It appears as if it got ripped out of a butt-connector. However, there were no single butt-connectors that had a missing wire. I then noticed that there were a couple pairs (2) of wires from the stock harness that connected to a single wire on the plug for the cd player (2 stock wires in, 1 cd player wire out). I got to thinking and only conclusion I could come to is that the red with black stripe wire was also in a butt-connector with another stock wire going to a single wire for the cd player plug and got ripped out.
My question is, does anyone know which stock wire, if any, the red with black stripe wire is supposed to mate with to go into the aftermarket cd player plug? What is the red with black striped wire for exactly? I have no idea what else could be wrong, I checked all the other wires, connections, and fuse and everything is fine.
Thx for any help.

Switched 12V+ Red/Black
That's red with black stripe right? So my other question still stands as to what if anything this is supposed to be paired with like the other wires are. Because there is no other wire besides the red with black stripe that isnt hooked up.

God... I don't even know what's wrong now. It's a nightmare back behind my cd player with the wiring and I have no clue where to start. The wires that have two going into one seem to be custom/not stock so I have no idea what that's for. One of the wires that goes 2 to 1 into the cd player plug is hooked into the cigarette lighter power it seems, which is ALSO not working all of a sudden. Maybe that's my problem, I don't know. But the Red/Black wire is still sitting there not connected to anything, here's an attached pic of the situation.

No, nothing works. Deck wont even turn on. Everything is hooked up except Red/Black but there is no other missing connection besides that one wire. I no longer have the manual, or at least I cant find it, for the deck so I don't know what the switched 12v wire is on the deck plug.
Side note, I think I figured out what was wrong. There is a wire that is hooked into power for the cigarette lighter that then runs into the deck. The cigarette lighter isn't getting power either, so I think if I figured out what was wrong with that the deck would work, maybe. But I have no idea why the lighter isnt getting power either. Light still works but the 2 prong plug that goes into the cig lighter for power and ground do not, apparently.

you seem to be working with an alpine radio that red and black wire needs to go to the red wire to the radio harness. the grey box on the alpine radio also has a fuse in it
