Carpet question.

OK on a scale of 1 to 10.... how difficult is it to install new carpet?? I ripped the old carpet out (was moldy and funky..)

?? my main concern is under the dash in the center... how the hell does it go back up in there? oof...

Someone lemme know thanks!

It can be replaced with the dash in place, but it is a lot easier to remove the dash. You can unbolt the dash and lift it up a couple of inches to tuck the carpet under.
6 bolts and the steering column are all the hold it in place.

Yeah, you will have to lift up the center section of the dash to fit the carpet under.

i got a question regarding new carpet as well. Do you guys buy pre-cut carpet to fit the 7? or do you just cut it yourself? if it is pre-cut where do you buy them from?

Best thing is to buy a premolded carpet that you cut yourself.

Doing it with the dash still in place is just looking for trouble.

Ask a friend to be there, unbolt the dash, lift it a bit, place the carpet where it has to go and bolt the dash back on.

Its a long job, but an easy one. Take your time and dont lose your patience. Otherwise, stop and come back later.

black dragon sells direct fit molded carpets in almost any color or u could find good carpet in another 7 and swap em or goto lowes/home depot and buy some boat carpet . the only problem ur gonna run into using regular carpet is making it lay flat against the contours of the body also making the bolt holes for ur seats is a bitch.
