Exhaust measurements (Apexi/HKS)

Hello, i want to buy a new exhaust in a few days. Just sold my racing-beat FULL, because i wanted to try something new and safe some weight!

Well, i wanted to buy an APEXI GT Spec, but rx7store.com tells me, that the exhaust is TOO big to be shipped to an APO AE Adress overseas.. well.. i have NO pictures of a mounted APEXi GT, N1 EVO or HKS HiPower.. so i have no idea how long/big they are.. thats why i am starting this thread, i want to find out the measurements of those exhausts for the FC.

If there is no chance on shipping.. i am thinking of letting cut a piece of the pipe, to fit the box, and then weld it over here.

Could somebody tell me what the big deal between GT Spec and the NEW N1 EVO is?

thank you very much in advance.. i am waiting for each reply.

All I can tell you is the N1 Evo went from behind the drivers seat in my Grand Cherokee diagonal to the back passenger side of the cargo area. Big.

I don't think any of those are full exhaust, so they are not going to replace your Racing Beat full turbo-back exhaust system.

They're both cat-backs, and I'd like to know about the new N1 Evo. Is there a reason to buy it over the original N1.

That's the N1 Evo. It says it's stainless.

Mine is coated in black all the way to the muffler, then its stainless. If it makes a difference.

One of the main selling points (and added price) of the GT Spec was the full stainless steel piping. The older N1 had mild steel to a stainless polished muffler. The Evo N1 to my understanding is a new model that in an effort to drop weight, using stainless. So to answer your question above, the N1 EVO has a weight advantage over the original N1. So if you're nit-picky about that kinda stuff, looks like the new Evo N1 is the choice for you.

So my statement wasn't wrong, I just wasn't very clear.

My bad, wasn't too aware there was a new version of the N1 exhaust for our cars.

"The N1 Evolution combines all the racing heritage and proven performance of the original N1 muffler but raises the ante by adding light weight, fully polished stainless steel piping. This is the ultimate N1 exhaust system. Mandrel bent, full stainless steel construction provides maximum power gains and resistance to rust or other damage caused by weathering. Like the original N1, the N1 Evolution uses the minimum amount of pipe bends to allow for greater exhaust flow. The N1 Evolution was created for those who are looking for something one step further than the classic N1 design. Available only for a select amount of vehicles, the N1 Evolution stands as a brilliant testament to exhaust system fabrication. * Please note that, due to the tapered tip of the N1 Evolution exhaust system the ATS Silencer WILL NOT fit properly. This is only true for the N1 EVOLUTION mufflers, all other exhaust systems will fit without problems. "

I can't honestly say that I've heard either much less see and hear anything but the older N1 in person. But N1 exhausts carry a large resonator after the flange that seems to dull out the noise pretty well, I personally think they're relatively quiet and sound nice at WOT (2.5 turbo back to older ApexiN1).

But I've never got to hear both for comparison. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

Good luck.
