Car Trouble

First off I drive an 89 GXL w/ a turbo swap.

So I thought I blew my turbo last drift event on the first run (on the straight away it all the sudden lost boost in 2nd) and didn't boost the rest of the day. So on sunday I went to my friends to install a new turbo and on the way over it seemed to run alot smoother so i thought I'd try and boost and sure enough it made it to 6lbs. Went to my friends and chilled for a couple hours. So on the way home about 1/4 mile from my friends house in 4th gear I lost my throttle, I'd gun it and nothing. I eventually lost momentum and pulled over. Tried restarting my car and nothing. 5 minutes later I turned it over to show my friend and it was fine. Then tried driving home and another 1/4 mile later same thing happened at a red light, no throttle. Sat broke down at the light for about three minutes, and then started up again, made it another 1/4 mile and did it again. Same thing, 5 minutes later turned over, made it another 1/4 mile, and then it was down for about 30 minutes until my friend came and towed me home. What's wrong with my car. Is it my fuel pump going out or what. I have no idea what could be causing this.

Sounds like a bad fuel pump. This is Exactly what happen to me when mine went out. They slow down and stop. then when they sit will work agian for short time and stop working agian. This happen to me. So its worth a shot checking it out.

Check injectors. Ive had my car cut on me the first time because of it. But would randomly be smooth. I just had to replace my primaries again due to rough running Nd stalling again.

Try jumpering the fuel pump bypass connector and see if anythimg changes.

^ what he said! Test the fuel pump

It may need time to build up pressure, once you drive pressure drops to a point that the engine stalls.

I ordered a Walbro 255LPH high pressure pump last night. If not that, I'll do the injectors. I'm also gonna clean all the connectors to the ecu when I get off work (can't hurt).

I got the pump today and will be replacing that when I get off, if no dice, then I'm taking the injectors to get tested and cleaned.
