Car issues driving me crazy (clutch, brakes mostly)
so for the last year or two the clutch in my car has been disengaging much much lower than it should. I haven't drven it much so it hasn't got to me, but now it's driving me nuts.
I replaced the m/c and s/c just incase they were bad, they were 15 years old after all.
I replaced the line with a braided stainless one.
None of these helped.
I also put a longer rod ont he master cyl, and adjusted it so that any pedal movement at all = moves the piston.
and STILL, it disengages like 1/2" off the floor.
Also, I replaced all my pads and the rear rotors, and bled the brakes properly with all new dot4 fluid.
And the pedal STILL feels like crap.
is there ANY way to make the brake pedal not feel like **** in an ABS FC?

I replaced a tranny for someone with a similiar problem and one of the tangs holding on the throwout bearing was missing and the bearing would do whatever it wanted.
I was going to recommend replacing the master, slave, and hose, but you got those covered. Maybe it's time for a new clutch kit.
Either way i'd just drop the tranny and take a look. Should only kill a few hours.
Re: brakes i'd make sure the brake master cylinder and the booster are working properly. We replaced the master cylinder on my dad's Accord and it was a world of difference ( it has ABS as well).

Also sounds like a possible bent fork issue. Definitely inspect the pressure plate to make sure all of the forks line up correctly and that none are bent.
It just might be time for a new clutch.

there are a number of different things that can cause a low brake pedal. air in system, a master cylinder that is bypassing internally, poorly adjusted emergency brake, excessive play in wheel bearings.... find out a couple things and post them up
are there any visible fluid leaks? check under master cylinder on brake booster
with the car off does the pedal sink all the way to the floor when pressed?
with the car off when you press the pedal does it stop momentarily and then slowly sink?
does the pedal get harder if you pump it fast with the car running?
does your ebrake work well? should come up about half way if properly adjusted
jack up your car and shake the wheels top to bottom. is there any play?

If all the adjustments to your clutch are maxed out, then there must be something bent or broken.
If he's bled it, then how is there air in there?
If the brake pedal feels erratic, then you may have a malfunctioning booster. Mine was touchy and very hard to press once you got down in the pedal stroke. Finally replaced the booster and fixed my problems.
Edit: Just because your booster holds vacuum or appears to actuate does not mean it's working properly. Mine passed every test I could find or think of.
What exactly do your brakes feel like?

the pedal is just really soft.
It's improved slightly, but it still sucks. The car does seem to stop fine, however.
As far as the clutch issue goes, yeah, something MUST be bent, but what?
I've swapped clutch forks, I think I even have a washer behind the pivot ball to help it work better.
I've read through the FSM a bunch but nothing helps.
