You can remove the actuators and wire the ports open, but removing them requires you to remove the manifolds.

Those ports stay closed at low RPMs to improve torque but open up at high RPMs to increase power at the high end. Think of it as a v-tech system that isn't overrated.

You should be able to with a little effort. But what is the point of this, to not have to buy replacement gaskets? As is, I think the UIM with the throttle body attached are big bulky items, now removing the LIM, UIM and TB in one unit would take some finess

no, i just have 2 days to do it in and the 5/6 port portion seems a lot easier to overcome than the whole **** and shabang. i also really dont like the idea of trying to rewire and reconnect everything on my only car. (call me what you want but im a little daunted by the task)

I don't think it's possible to remove the LIM without removing the rest of it first. If it's a time issue, I can do a R&R in about an hour provided all gaskets are there. While it's apart you could actually fix the problem too. Anyways, if you are gonna just get rid of 'em, do like Karack said, "Wire them open"

PB blaster maybe?
Also, I've removed the aux ports many times without removing anything but the intake snorkel.

if the arm moves effortlessly then the sleeve is working fine or the actuator rod is broken, if the rod is broken and the sleeve is frozen you have no alternative but to remove the lower intake. i just want to be sure you are sure this is a sleeve sticking issue and not something else that someone told you was a sticking sleeve.
