(Thread can be closed) =)

It's because i am debating between a 6 port turbo project and a straight swap... Kinda on a budget so im just trying to see which one will be cheaper or perferably less work =P

Thanks again

sorry if i sounded rude, no insult intended . Having recently finished a 6 port turbo project (which is now giving me problems), i can honestly say it is MUCH cheaper and easier to swap in a t2 motor than it is to convert. rebuilt t2 motor might cost around 2g. Total cost of my project is right around that..and climbing...

people say that the na tranny will break with t2 motor, t2 trannys(I've seen for $500) are not that much money and you need a special driveshaft(I think around $200) to mate up to your rear end(www.mazdatrix.com).

the n/a tranny is weak compared to the TII tranny

you would have to keep it around stock. the n/a tranny can hold with a stock TII engine if you don't drive it extremely hard

iirc, rotaryressurection had a n/a tranny in his turbo vert with a hybrid turbo. even shifting real nice he ripped all the teeth off his input shaft eventualy.

not saying it wont work, it just wont last.
