Can i run a BNR stage 1?
I'm curious as if i will need a fuel controller or not, right now i have a RB turboback, rtek 1.7, 720cc secondary injectors, walbro fuel pump and hks intake, i want to get a BNR stage 1, but i'm curious as to if i will need a fuel controller can anyone chime in.
You should probably get some type of fuel controller to add more fuel if you need it but from what I understand the Rtek 1.7 maps are pretty conservitive. If you really dont want to buy a fuel controller and want to just run the Rtek with a BNR stage 1 get your car on the dyno and make a couple of runs with a wideband to see what boost level is acceptable for your setup. It will be lower than what you would run with the stock turbo, but you should be able to make more power at a lower boost level. Watch the intake temps also if you have the stock intercooler. I guess the question is, how much boost do you want to run?

I think you should be ok. You could get an AFC, but maybe an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator could be part of the list also. If you do get the turbo go do a couple of dyno pulls or get a wideband to see what your A/F's look like.
Have you rewired the fuel pump yet?

no i havent rewired my fuel pump don't even know how to, i plan on running about 10 psi, and i'm on the stock top mount but i do have a front mount in the garage i just don't have the cash to get it installed. So basically if i want to run higher than stock boost levels i need a fuel controller? I'd like to run 10 psi i wanna hit close to 300whp.

The dyno I went to said that the a/f's where going to be .5 off. They use a sniffer to sniff out of the tail pipe. I use a PLX wideband and with the same sensor that the dyno uses. I get readings in the low 11's like 11.0's to 11.4's and thats reading from the Midpipe of the exhaust using a o2 bung. For 10 psi I think its ok, but I do plan on going to 4x720's or maybe 890's and 720's whenever pocketlogger decides to release the new Rtek V2.0.

try 1 bar
you said his maps were risky and you are asking if you need a fuel controller? if you know his maps are risky, then you should know if yours would be too and answer your own question....
with the tmic, you are probablky fine...
fmic, you could use one.
I also should have been a little more clear with my explanation. With the Rtek 1.7, walbro, and 720's Digital tuning states that you will be okay up to 12 psi on the stock turbo. Now since you have a BNR stage 1 with a T04b compressor wheel in there it will move more air than the stock turbo at the same boost level. I did not mean to say that you had to run stock boost levels on the BNR, but with that fuel setup you wont be able to run as much boost as with the stock turbo. Sorry if I confused you.
