calling hailers
well i need your help. a friend of mine is doing a s5 to s4 conversion. he wanted me to see if there was anyway to depin the s4 ecu plug, and see if he could repin it to the s5 ecu clip. he said he has the emission harness already done. so its just the two ecu plugs to the body an the front harness, if theres anyway please let me know you have been a great help for me with wiring in the past.

It's too much for me to get into. Too much work for no gain on my side. IF I did it, I'd go to the FUEL AND EMISSIONS section of the series four and series five FSM's. I'd copy the three or so pages called CONTORL UNIT from both books. It shows what each wire in each ECU plug does in life.
Then repin the wires to match the series four ECU plugs.
After that you'd still have to take care of the two ORANGE colored plugs on the EM harness that don't connect to the ECU itself.
It's been done by at least two others and written up but I don't remember their names/handles. One might have been Luciu$ or a name similar, from the Czech Republic I think.

But...
Of course you can de-pin the plugs (you say your friend just did it), so long as the clips will come out. All you'd need to do from there is figure out what order the wires need to go into the new plug. Some quality time with the FSMs will take care of that.
