is this the anti theft computer

this electronic box came with my engine S4 13b swap... i think its the anti theft computer can you confirm... and of course is it needed or should i scrap it?

I think so, but I'm not completely sure. Anyhow, it has nothing to do with the engine, and won't be needed.

Where was it located? I believe the anti-theft controller is located in the passenger side dash, under the glove box, next to the speaker/amplifier box.

Though int he end, if it's going into an FB, alls you need is the ECU.

Just looked up the number in the parts fiche. 67-790 "box. Control-burg. alarm" its trash.

yeah its the anti theft ecu. only needed if you're sticking with an oem security system. in your case, you dont need it. toss it up on the shelf and save it. why pitch it? ytou might not need it but someone down the road might and these parrts arent going to be around forever.
