Ya,Brian at Japan2LA.Good Guy!
I probably need to buy a motor for my 86 (s4). It not the turbo version. Motor still running but has 130k miles on it so i'm anticipating. What can i put in that would be worth my money?
a 13B-Turbo?
does a 13B-REW (3gen twin turbo) fit inside the second gen and does it fit easely? Is there a kit that is a bolt-on for this motor?
Or if i want major horse power, go for a LS1 engine (but giving up my rotary is... well hard^_^)

Also curious about replacing my S4, it had 144k on it when the PO disconected the speedometer. God only knows what that poor engine has been thru, but it doesnt smoke and still embaresses quite a few hondas. Would like to put an S5 T2 engine, trans, and harness in the S4. What all would i need to make it work?

^^^Enough research to realize it is not worth the time. Unless you find an s5 t2 engine with excellent compression for 500 dollars, stick with in series swaps. You will see as you begin to research.

i hear all these good things about brian japan2la that is why i went with him. i paid for my motor and tranny in march. got halfshafts and a diff from him. it took a month for them to get here. found out he had to wait for a shippment from japan for the halfshafts. but the motor looks good so did the trans and i got a lot of stuff for the motor ecu, harness, coils, BPS, other stuff like that. but i am still waiting on the diff.
So you said it not worth to buy a 13btII for my 86 NA? So i should redo the motor and buy upgraded part like exast system and intake système... That will cost less then buying a 13bTII for 1200$, with tranny and everything else?
i have over $3K invested so far. thats motor trans, diff, halfshafts. i bought a new hood for the TMIC. bought a new clutch, new stiff engine, trans and diff mounts. i had a friend who had a driveshaft laying around so i got that for cheap.
if your not looking to do a butt laod of wiring crap and plenty of fab, the REW swap will be more than you wanted to do. but its possible. im doing a REW in a fb and so far its not as bad as every one told me! just know its a lot a lot of good hard work. and time. and money
I bought my engine from brian, so hopefully it will come out good. Ive heard good things. Im doing the S5 to S5 TII swap and take it from me... If you dont want to spend or ahve a shitload of money dont do it lol. Once you start you will find more and more things that need to be replaced. I assume especially if you go out of series.

I've got 6k in my build..so far..and the engine hasn't even seen the car yet.(I'm still N/A.)..so Honestly Buy a TII.Unless you don't mind Eating..(I'm doing it because I am retired and have nothing else to do,besides Count Dots on the ceiling and watch Two and a Half Men!)
It is WELL worth it to by an s4 turbo engine from japan2la or atkins immediately.
I drove my car na for about a week, swapping in a s4 turbo is by far the best modification i have done to my 1988 se.

You have an 86 which = s4.
The t2 engine you should buy should also be an s4 turbo engine.
Building the car is definately the way to go.
That way you can fix it when **** breaks.
