2.The engine is overheating and the radiator is bubbling up, would there be lines hooked up wrong to cause this or something else???

Not to be an alarmist, but the bubbles could signify that your coolant seals have been compromised, and it is time for a rebuild. Usually a sure sign that the engine was overheated in the past- and that means bad things for the rotor motor.

besides your obviously pecimistic and expensive insight (j/k) could there be something else....the guy i got it from said when he bought it that he put some hoses on that looked like they were missing, and he had a manual sitting on the dash when i got it, so i am assuming that he followed that...would a misplaced vacuum hose or other hose cause this?

p.s. the bubbling occurred after he test drove it a few weeks ago before his wife told him to lose 2 cars or else...

This pessimistic and expensive theory may be dead on. Sorry to say.

Here is a test for you to perform:

I think my engine has been overheated. How can I check to see if the coolant seals are good?
Fill coolant system ALL THE WAY UP (engine cold). Make sure that the fluid level is as high as you can get it. Leave the filler cap off. Remove the EGI fuse. Crank the motor (it should not start). If you get a LARGE amount of coolant coming out of the coolant fill, its safe to assume your coolant seals are blown. Also, a good indication is a fuel/exhaust smell in the coolant.

Good luck!

Rat
