Broken Vacuum Components... Please help...
I was going through and changing all of my vacuum lines on my car and I broke the nipple off of two parts... I need to know what these parts are called so I can price them and buy them...
**
The first one is a solenoid that is on the top left (if you are leaning over the driver side fender) of a group of solenoids... I believe it is refered to as the rats nest here... It is located toward the front driver side of the engine compartment...
**
The other is a flying saucer shaped black peice... It has 2 vacuum lines coming from it and a larger (1/8" - 3/16") line that goes directly to the oil filler neck... Is this the RX7 version of the PCV valve?
**
I know some of you will probably say to just remove the vacuum emissions crap, but unfortunately that is not an option in my area...
Pleeease help... I just need to know what they are called...
Thanks,
Randal C.

Yeah... Its an '89 n/a... This is a very common solenoid... There is a group of 5 all on one cluster... They either have two or three vacuum lines coming from them... The ones that have 2 coming from them have a little filter on the other end...
**
The one from the oil filler neck I am pretty sure is just an RX7 version of a PCV...
**
Anyway... If you have these for sale that would be awesome... Dont drink and drive... You may hit a bump and spill it...

I don't drive if I've had more than one drink. I was just finishing off the egg nog, and its not the same with out plenty of nog (I prefer coconut rum, myself). And yeah, I'll sell them for a reasonable price if theyre in good shape. I'll let you know about them sometime tomorrow, hopefully.

***Okay... I did a little searching on Google...

The solenoid is called a "Solenoid Valve Relief"...
**
The thing I was saying is the RX7 version of the PCV is called a "Purge Control Valve"....
**
God Bless Google...

FWIW, all the vacuum solenoids with the large square colored plugs, are all the same on 86-95 models. Some of them have 3 vacuum nipples, some have 2 nipples and an air filter...the filters just slide on and off. The sticker color does not matter...they can be switched around and replaced as needed, they all function the same. You can get solenoids off any core/partscar. The purge valve is only 86-91, however.

Good to know. I'll try to get the correct ones for simplicy's sake, though. Do you happen to have a pic of them? You can send it to shelbycobra289@hotmail.com.
I'll prob just charge a bit over shipping, btw.
