Angry On the brink of small blocking my FC...talk me out of it guys!

I am getting so sick and tired of putting oil in the plug holes and cranking and buying new plugs, and cranking and unflooding and cranking. It's been almost a month since I put the motor in and about 3 weeks since I first cranked it over. And for three weeks I have been putting oil in and cranking it and putting more oil and cranking, let it sit for the day and put more oil in and crank it. It will not start. I have done everything you guys suggested, I have searched for three weeks straight, posted numerous threads, spoken to the guy that did my rebuild, read rotary resurrection's website six million times. I have fuel, I have spark, There is compression, fuel is pulsing and the timing is right. There is no reason why it shouldn't start.
I have a 350" short block and a worked 700R4 in my garage that is looking very very very tempting to me. I need words of encouragement, suggestions, anything guys. I am gonna lose so much money if I ditch this rebuild, just look at my sig. All that money could have been spent of this 350 and I could be in the 9's all day.
Help me out rotor lovers...I need to drive this thing...

what are your compression #
it would be good to know
the compression shouldnt get any better after about 500 miles (in my experience) so if you have drivven it that long and theres no improvement somthing is not right with your rebuild
(i guess that only works if you can drive your engine)
push it down a long hill and seep if you can get it running

Can you link to a previous thread? I would want to know what was suggested before re-suggesting anything.

i bet u need to get your injectors rebuilt. i think its like $30 a pop. they open em up, clean them, replace o rings, and repaint them. and there like brand new. saves money on getting new injectors, and definitly saves on throwing a $300 subframe for a v8.

This is just a complete shot in the dark, and I'm sure IceMark will shoot me down, but I see your car is an 88, and you're using an S5 block.. . Do you think this could be a High/Low injector impedance problem?

compression test it, change the oil and get all that nasty stuff out of there. Clean the plugs, or replace them.

here is my previuos thread:
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/rebuild-starts-then-dies-after-like-3-seconds-460256/

I am sure I did something wrong because my compression test showed up with absolutely nothing. I spoke to the guy who did my motor and he said he is positive that it is a healthy motor with good compression.

the injectors are brand new Greddy 720cc, I even tried to swap out the primaries for stock ones, but still nothing.

OK, I am not sure if you have been able to strat the car at all; so with that in mind, check your injector wires, make sure that primary harness one goes to primary injector one, and so on.

I wired my injectors backwards one time (seconday on primary), I had similar cranking results as yours when I did this

What ECU are you using? engine harness?

Yep... gonna shoot you down.

The 87.5 and later all used the same impedance injectors as the 89+ models.

Need some numbers... taking someones word for the motor being in good condition is like believing that a Tornado will give you better gas mileage.

Well is it flooding...? Or not getting fuel at all...? What shape is your injector clips in..? Also is your grounds good. I had a similart problem with my rebuild. It ended up being bad injecotr clips. Somtimes they made just enough contact to start, other times not. Either way I could not get it to run very long. Then I replaced the injector clips and it rauns fine. Also I have the Rtec 1.7v and that really helps starting as I have 4x720 injectors and once in awhile it will flood. That ECU with the flood clear is a life saver. Well I dont know if any of this helps you or not but it is from my own personal experience that sounds similar to yours. Good Luck.

It is getting fuel and the injectors are pulsing. The pigtails are all brand new, soldered them in myself, and yes I am POSITIVE they are all in the correct place and soldered tightly.

Stubborness is the exacting character of a " help only if you're right" person. Shut up, GIVE YOUR COMPRESSION NUMBERS, and let these folks help. Don't ask for it, if you're not willing to do any legwork on your end. Yes, I'm new to rotaries, but not new to attitude. If your mechanic is so sure of his "WORK", have him fix it. Otherwise, get off your holier than though attitude, and do what is suggested, not demanded.

Don't ask for help anymore, saves me the time of reading something I thought I might actually learn from.

PEACE THE DOG

p.s., I hope you get it running, I'm a jerk, yes, but still hate to see a good car go bad.

I think you should do a full timeline of events in EXTREME detail so we all know now exactly what you've tried, what you've tested, and what your modifications are, the more info the better, since it seems all the simple stuff isn't working.

You guys still whining about compression numbers, he's already said he tested and it zero'ed out.

I am sure I did something wrong because my compression test showed up with absolutely nothing.
If you didn't get ANYTHING from the compression check your engine has no compression. Simple ddductive reasoning. If you think you botched it somehow, just pull one of the spark plugs on each rotar and crank her over. If you don't hear the compression blows, then you still don't have anything.

Who rebuilt it, when, and why was it rebuilt? How was it rebuilt? Just new rubbers or the chibang? A shop or individual? Warrenty? I'd be going back to him and have him prove to you that the motor is solid. This kind of thing should be turn-key.

I know it had compression because it started, and ran...for about 6 seconds mind you, but it did run, it has to have compression. With the plugs out there are huge compression blows...

it was rebuilt by Chris Rogers, down in Virginia. He rebuilt the entire thing. It was originally a J-SPEC with carbon-locked apex seals. It does have a warranty, I have contacted him, he referred me to rotary resurrection's step by step process for starting a rebuild, followed that word for word and still nothing

You need to find a good rotary shop and have the car towed in. Just bite the bullet and have someone get the car running. If you really have done all that you claim you should have a running car, but you don't. I'm sorry, but you need help.
