Brake kits?

I want to set my 88 TII up before I drop an engine in it so Im researching some parts. I have decided on PBM coilovers and was wondering if it was worth the money to put bigger brakes on all 4 corners. Who makes a decent kit? Im thinking at this point that I'm going to run 17" wheels, 18" at the largest. Want maximum stopping power for my $

well bigger rotors do not increase braking power. they coolfaster due to having more surface area.
usually to increase braking people switch pads or go to a higher piston caliper.

The developer of this kit along with me and another friend have been testing these for some time, now they're available!

Fade is almost non-existent during 25 minute track sessions, braking as late as bravery would allow, with fresh 255 tires all around

Have you tried running Hawk HP+ or a similar pad first to see if you need big brakes?

although i cant vouch for this kit im sure that if maczpayne recomends it its good. going along with what he said about tires if you were really were concerned about breaking id take care of tires first if your brakes right now were in decent shape. they are after all what stops the car.

as to where you can find rotoras google it! lol. i saw some on horsepower freaks. although idk if they are for fc's

Erm, not quite.
Larger diameter rotors most assuredly do increase braking power by virtue of providing a longer lever arm for the caliper.
The greater thermal capacity of a larger diameter rotor is also a factor but the diameter itself makes a difference...bigger=better.

After much reading, I think that vented rotors and Hawk pads will be more than suitable for my needs. Thanks guys!
