Boring keys.

My key is so boring (see attachment), so I want to get cooler ones or something even the OEM key would be good I don’t know.

I saw these on eBay:

BUT they are $40 a POP . There are two things wrong with that. yeah they are cool looking BUT, if I where to actually pay 40 for those, their better be a pair of them AND they better make me breakfast in the morning, ******** or something lol, I don’t know that just me. So does anyone know where to get some decent keys?

I'd be more worried about the look that that keyless entry gives to my keyring than what my semi generic round mazda key does - I think that looks fruity, and I imagine others do to (not saying i kind of wish i had keyless and remote start).

To get cheap, designed key, go to home depot, get a copy made with like the squarest head available. Take to grinder until it looks rotarangular.

This is hot for $20 after shipping.

Do you have a pushbutton start, Ted?

I like the eBay blue key for $20.

I actually like those keys in the first post. I wouldn't pay more than $20 though.

Ok, you want the key, but you don't want to pay the $40?
That sounds like whining to me...

I've got the rotor shaped key for my 7, and i love it. My dad has one too for his 7, my mom, if they made one for the RX8, would have one; my sister is going to buy one for her 7, and when we find a REPU we'll have one for it too.

All rotary family...gotta love it.

To each their own.

Are there any aftermarket blanks of "pop up" remote keys, like VW and Audi. Now thats a key to have.

If you really want it, you could buy a Audi or VW blank (if they're the same size) and get it cut to the 7 key.

That's why I like my AE so much - the fancy enameled keys add at least 30hp ;-)

Those guys in Hiroshima thought of everything...

Patience, patience, not until they're all done. And my mom is the only one without a 7, she has the 8.

Definitely some things in store for mine and my dad's 7's. His 85 and my 87 have a lot coming. That's all I'll say.

J
